Thrilled to be of service to her alma mater, Metzger has consulted on and created a comprehensive communications strategy for the launch of NCSSM’s new campus in Morganton. From event planning, promotion and followup to fundraising campaigns to weighing in on campus design elements, Metzger has worked closely with the NCSSM-M development team to tell the story of this campus’s beginnings in its entirety.

Working through the economic stress of North Carolina’s budget impasse and the current economic fallout from COVID-19, Metzger has crafted heartfelt messages of solidarity for the NCSSM-Morganton community while balancing the need to continue seeking funds for the campus’s completion. With an eye and heart to the story of this campus, Metzger draws from historical context and the community sentiment she knows to walk a delicate balance and produce heartfelt updates and asks.

Metzger has also produced the most recent episodes of the storytelling video series Road to Morganton, which provides updates and context about the massive project of building this new campus. Metzger’s approach to her work for NCSSM-M draws on her guiding belief that telling your story well is the best approach, showcasing just how many ways she knows to do that.
